Renovation
of 10,000 SF in existing 2-story laboratory building, including highly
specialized research equipment. Construction was accomplished in select
areas next to other labs that continued operation during the construction.
Work included bringing new generator and UPS power to critical equipment,
and extensive distribution system expansion with the building.
Replacement Building 109
New
30,000 SF laboratory building currently under construction at the CDC
Chamblee campus. Phasing of project requires half the building built and
occupied prior to construction of the second half. Scope includes
generator backup power, automatic facility-wide lighting control, and
extensive flexibility to accommodate future lab equipment and needs.
Freezer Building 105
Building
containing 9,000 SF of refrigerators and freezers exclusively for storage
of laboratory-related materials. Scope was primarily Construction
Administration, including Submittal Reviews, Field Observation and
Reports, and partial Commissioning duties. Project including generator
backup power, building-wide automatic lighting control, and extensive
branch circuit distribution to cooling equipment.
